For a while, Calvin Klein’s appeal was waning as the brand’s licensing business slapped the name on anything for a price. (My grandma was ecstatic to find “real” Calvin Klein apparel at Sam’s Club last year, for example.) But the brand’s logo underwear started picking up steam a couple seasons ago, and now that Raf Simons has taken over, they are making moves towards re-establishing themselves with the fashion set, and frankly it seems to be happening rather quickly. Will their name disappear from T.J. Maxx racks entirely in the next few years? Probably not, but something very interesting is afoot here. Can Rihanna and my grandma share a space in fashion?
